LiteBulb Group Ltd (Formerly ila Group Limited) was formed in 2010 through the acquisition of Ila Security Limited by Baylon Holdings Limited (formerly Molectra Group Limited) and was quoted on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange in March 2010. Ila Security Limited was incorporated in July 2008 in Jersey to manufacture innovative, style-conscious products designed to appeal to women. Ila’s first product was the Dusk, a pocket-sized alarm that emits a 120 decibels female scream, and was sold through Marks And Spencer. A number of other Ila products have since been launched.

In February 2013, the group acquired Bluwstuff Limited. Bluwstuff has developed a diverse portfolio of its own brands and products that sell to major retailers in the UK, Europe and the US. Like LiteBulb Group, Bluwstuff is able to manage each step of the process of taking a product to market, from concept through to production, quality control and shipping to the Group’s blue-chip retail clients and international distributors.

Bluwstuff has offices in the UK and in Hong Kong and has long-established relationships with a large number of blue-chip clients including Tesco, Boots, M&S, Sainsbury’s, Next, WH Smith, Debenhams, Morrisons, Mothercare and Toys ‘R’ Us.

In November 2013 the group acquired Meld Group Limited. Meld has developed a diverse portfolio of brands and products which it supplies to major retailers in the UK. Having been in operation for over ten years, the Meld group has developed established relationships with a number of blue-chip retail clients including Marks and Spencer and Sainsbury’s. Meld has predominantly focused on developing products for the books, gifts and games markets. Some of the products developed and sold by Meld and its principal subsidiary Ginger Fox Limited include a range of puzzles and games based on the popular television programmes Peppa Pig and Octonauts. Other key products include a range of classic fairy-tales books launched under Meld’s brand ‘Milly & Flynn’.

In April 2014 the group acquired Go Entertainment Group Limited. Go designs, develops and manufactures consumer products focusing on DVDs, books, magazines and other gift products. Go has been operating in the consumer products market for over five years and brings a track record of strong financial performance, having been profitable for the last four years. Go has strong relationships with a wide range of major brands including Discovery, History Channel, ESPN, David Attenborough as well as exceptionally strong retail distribution.

The company continues to be focused on building new brands and actively seeking further acquisition opportunities.

The company became LiteBulb Group to reflect the broad range of its activities, which reach well beyond ila Security’s original objectives.
